Blackdeck and ByteCosmos Become Real Intelligence Dashboards
Blackdeck now has a 60-day global-risk baseline and live risk map, while ByteCosmos has a real-time crypto dashboard and a completed 200-day Upbit baseline.
The two analytical products now have a much clearer operating surface.
Both sites were redesigned around the same principle: the first screen should explain the state of the system and the state of the underlying data before asking the user to navigate deeper.
Blackdeck: from event feed to risk dashboard
Blackdeck now opens as a global risk dashboard rather than a product landing page.
The dashboard includes:
- a global risk map with event type and intensity
- a completed daily snapshot and yesterday delta
- risk-theme movers
- geography intensity
- rule-based commodity and supply-chain impact proxies
- live source-linked event records
- descriptive correlation indicators
- pipeline coverage from ingest through company and price-impact research
The historical baseline is no longer empty.
A 60-day GDELT backfill completed successfully:
- 60 / 60 historical daily partitions
- 770,637 filtered event records across the backfill
- no failed exports on the final partition
- current-day live event ingestion remains separate from the completed daily snapshot
The current daily snapshot is anchored to the latest completed UTC day, while the map can show the current live ingest. This prevents a partial current day from being compared directly with a complete previous day.
The site also exposes snapshot maturity directly. The full 60-day baseline is now marked Ready now.
Blackdeck continues to separate what is real from what is provisional. Commodity and supply-chain impact values are currently explicit rule-based exposure proxies. Company exposure and commodity-price event studies remain separate pipeline stages rather than being presented as if they already exist.
ByteCosmos: a crypto market dashboard with real market state
ByteCosmos was also rebuilt into an information-dense dashboard.
The initial model is now crypto-only and uses Upbit as the primary market source.
The first screen now summarizes:
- market regime
- advancing vs declining markets
- median 24-hour change
- total KRW turnover
- top-10 turnover concentration
- BTC / ETH / XRP / SOL market context
- cross-sectional coin leaders
- top gainers and decliners
- turnover leaders
- historical-data readiness
A 200-day historical baseline was also built from Upbit public market data:
- 289 KRW markets
- 51,940 daily candles
- 100% baseline completion
- zero failed markets in the baseline run
The current leader score is deliberately simple and explainable: cross-sectional return rank, 24-hour turnover rank, and intraday range rank.
This is a research ranking, not a return forecast.
API keys
The current ByteCosmos analytical pipeline does not need an Upbit API key.
Market discovery, tickers, and daily candle history are available through public market-data endpoints, and the current live dashboard and 200-day baseline were built without authenticated credentials.
If a later phase needs private account balances, authenticated portfolio state, or controlled execution research, that is the point where a separate Upbit credential will be requested.
Data-model discipline
Neither dashboard redesign required a new feature-specific database table.
Large historical datasets remain in Parquet/file storage, while the transactional data-model gate remains unchanged: a new table requires a real durable entity or independent lifecycle, not merely a new screen or analysis.
